In June 2001 AQFlow installed a 1-bay, 5 path ASFM system at the Deep Brook Plant in Milton, Nova Scotia. Operations training was also provided to Nova Scotia Power Corp. personnel.

Detailed velocity measurements were taken in the upper region of the intakes in Unit 9 and 10 as well as preliminary index testing.

Measurements were made for five different configurations. The data collected by the ASFM consisted of the magnitude and inclination of the laterally-averaged velocity at each of the five elevations in the single bay of the intake. The discharge through the bay was then computed from the velocity measurements.
