Deep
Brook (Units 9 & 10) Detailed velocity measurements were taken in the upper region of the intakes in Unit 9 and 10 as well as preliminary index testing. Measurements were
made for five different configurations. The data collected by the ASFM
consisted of the magnitude and inclination of the laterally-averaged velocity
at each of the five elevations in the single bay of the intake. The discharge
through the bay was then computed from the velocity measurements. Back
Note: As shown, Nova Scotia Power, Hydro Québec, Korea Water Resources, Electricité de France and Douglas County PUD have all opted for having their personnel trained by AQFlow technicians as part of the first project, purchasing the ASFM and performing all subsequent measurements in-house successfully and cost-effectively.
