Simulations are carried out to validate two and three dimensional multiphase models for free surface flows encountered in spillway structures. The top figures show, respectively, the grid used for a spillway structure and the calculated upper nappe surface for a selected upstream water head. The bottom figures show the calculated nappe profiles at the center bay and near the pier. These results are compared to experimental data published by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
